Clinical. Week 10. Semester 5.

This week my instructor decided to send me back to my original clinical site since I have accepted a job there after I graduate. My original preceptor took a traveling job elsewhere so I was super sad to have her leave & not be the one training me since she’s the one who’s been with me the whole time. I was nervous about being with someone who I hadn’t been with & didn’t know anything about my clinical experience but it went pretty well. I just need to get more comfortable with her.

Take Care!

You guys… I just got back from the doctor! I’ve been dealing with this terrible back pain for a month or so now, along with this terrible pelvic pain. I’ve gotten plenty of ultrasounds that always come back clear! It’s so frustrating. And I’m so busy! I never have time to go to the doctor for anything, nor do I want to go. I spent so many months going to the doctor, the E.D., getting imaging done, ultrasounds, etc. It just burnt me out. But I found out why I almost passed out during my last hysterectomy!!…

Clinical. Week 8. Part 1. Semester 5.

Going to the orthopedic ambulatory surgery center today was an awesome change of pace. Straight off the bat, they were so welcoming of me. They didn’t assume I knew things, they asked me what I knew, what I have done, what I was comfortable with, would I like to first scrub, could I open stuff, etc. My tech put me straight into it & let me scrub in & open up the case & set it up even though I didn’t know what I was doing. I just made sure to ask how they did things & what they preferred. It is definitely a different world there…
