Class of 2022

You guys!!!…. my first professional photoshoot is in the books! What a fun memory. I’m so glad I did it. This was such a huge moment for me! My photographer was absolutely amazing! And it was such a great feeling walking across the stage to get my diploma & having my family there to support me! what a journey it has been. And it’s just getting started! June 13th is my official start date in the O.R. as a CST! I will be transferring over from dietary. I’m going to miss my kitchen peeps, but I’ll get to drop in & say hi when I stop by to grab lunch! Ha! So, that’s a plus!

Anyways… I wanted to drop some of my favorite photos from my session.

Intra-Op Practice Questions… can you get them correct?

How many can you get correct?? The intra-operative test questions are my MOST missed questions. I have been typing up a study guide especially on the intra-operative test questions to study! I will add the difficulty level after each question! Here are a few to try out:

ST Final!

🙌 HELLO all!! I passed my ST FINAL!!! I’m so excited. I got a 73%. The only downfall is it dropped my 94 to an 89.5! I wish she would have rounded it up. I have always maintained a 4.0, so it’s super hard losing my 4.0 at the absolute last second. I end with a 3.83. So not even Magna Cum Laude, but the lowest honor: Cum Laude. I mean I shouldn’t complain, that’s still a huge accomplishment. But it’s seriously heartbreaking after all my hard work! What a bummer.

Board Vitals – FREE Pharmacology Practice Exam!!

Our class has been studying for the NBSTSA Exam using this website called BOARD VITALS. It’s been SO helpful!! We have some things that we are definitely rusty on & need to study more on, and one is Pharmacology. I selected every single pharmacoloy question available (50) & took the exam & typed it up as I was taking it & put an answer key on the last page. There are explanations to the answers, which I did not inlcude.

Last Clinical. Week 14. I’m Done!

Today was my last offical day scrubbing clinical as a student. The next time I scrub in the O.R. will be as a CST!!

It seems like it was just yesterday that we were struggling to gown & glove ourselves. We couldn’t figure out how to get our blade off our knife handle. We were perplexed with all the suture! Trying to figure out how to pass from across the patient or beside the surgeon… left-handed… now we barely have to think about it!

Anways, on to how my last day went…

Pre-Clinical. Week 14. Semester 5.

Hello!! I wanted to do a pre-clinical post.

Tomorrow is my final evaluation. So, I’m doing one last case & I’m done with clinical, for good!

I’m going to Rock Island, IL to do a Lap Chole in the morning.

I have NEVER scrubbed at this campus…

Grad Photo Ideas. Part 2.

I don’t think you can have enough photo ideas! I look for new ideas every day & switch photos in & out.

I’ve been taking photos of the campus when I’m there so my photographer, as well as myself, can get an idea of where we want to take photos.

I can also look at my ideas and get an idea of where I’d like to take each of them.

I’m hoping it will help things move along more smoothly & help us get as many photos as possible!
